It is advisable to carefully study the technical documentation and the “Race Guide” which can be consulted and downloaded from the official website, which will be published within thirty days of the start of the race. Competitors must strictly respect the racecourse marked with flags equipped with reflective tape and logo of the event and/or the S1 logo. Any signs of different colors must be overlooked as they indicate routes unrelated to the race. The initials S1 and the name of the race are always shown on the official markings of the race, any other signs of a different type of markings must therefore be neglected. If you do not meet the marking flags/ribbons for several hundred meters, you have to go back to make sure you are on the correct path. The removal from the official track, in addition to leading to disqualification from the race, will take place at the sole risk and peril of the competitor.

ALL COMPETITIONS ARE MARKED BY BANDS OR FLAGS EXCEPT FOR NAMES IPERTRAIL .

The route of the Trieste Urban ECOMARATHON is fidal certified and is equal to 42km 195mt

La data di apertura delle iscrizioni è a 60 giorni dalla fine dell’edizione precedente.

The closing of the administrative procedures, telephone and web assistance on the registration process take place 7 working days from the race.

The competitor must be up to date with all the documentation by that date, otherwise the registration will be invalid.

After this term, it will only be possible to intervene autonomously, where the system still allows modifications, through one’s own competing area.

  • The race and refreshment staff have the unquestionable right to stop competitors visibly in a state of difficulty and / or in a state deemed unsafe when the race continues.
  • The race staff has the right to stop the competitors in motion at a speed deemed unsafe in relation to the climatic conditions, even if within the competition time barriers. The minimum safe speed is 3.5 km / h, unless otherwise specified, over a period greater than or equal to 70 minutes.
  • The maximum time is calculated on the official departure time.
  • The wording “+ xx” indicates that the maximum time is extendable of that duration for those who have correctly booked an individual start time.
  • The time barriers are indicated by time, i.e. they report the time of day or night and not the competitor’s race time.
  • The time barriers in entrance apply only to bookings of start times prior to the official start and require the competitor to stop until the time barrier expires or the passage of the first competitor in the race exempt from this restriction.
  • All athletes will receive, after registration closes, an email with a calculation of the suggested departure time based on their ITRA Performance Index, in order to finish the race in maximum comfort. Athletes may ignore this advice but will still be subject, at their own risk, to the time barriers at the entrance and exit.

WITHDRAWALS

  • Any withdrawal must be reported immediately to the telephone number indicated on the bib, if necessary, the eventual transport of the competitor to the finish will be organized from the operations room.
  • There is a shuttle service on call for competitors who want to drop the race
  • A shuttle service is provided for collections on a fixed schedule. The stops and timetables of the shuttles are described in the Race Guide and on special banners at the refreshment points.
  • There is a “sweep service” that will cover the track following the last competitor in the race, in order to help the retired and prevent any injured people from being left without assistance.

Any bags and equipment of the withdrawn competitors will be delivered together with the bags of the competitors in the race, or at the end of the race or at the closing of the life base, or at the times indicated in the Race Guide

On the route, there are employees of the organization, volunteers of the Civil Protection and Alpine Rescue, and of the Italian Army, in constant contact with the base. In the arrival area there is an ambulance with a doctor on board and paramedics, ready to intervene. There are other ambulances, car and motorcycles equipped along the way.

Checkpoints are set up along the route, where organization staff monitor the passage of athletes. It is compulsory to pass near the checkpoints going to step, without running and with the bib clearly visible on the chest or backpack or leg.

It is advisable to make sure that you have been registered correctly as, in the event of failure to register or not passing through a control point, disqualification is applied.

Any runner injured or in difficulty can ask for help from the Organization:

  • by showing up at an official checkpoint
  • by calling an organization number
  • asking another runner to call for help

It is a duty and mandatory to provide assistance to all people in difficulty and if necessary to notify the emergency services. In the event that a competitor has lost time to help another competitor injured or in difficulty, he can ask the Race Jury to reduce the time spent on the official ranking.

ICE CRACKPONS AND CLAMP

There is the possibility of finding icy sections on all race courses. The organization therefore reserves the right to make the following items MANDATORY or RECOMMEND to participate in the competition:

  • Racing crampons or ice pegs

The obligatory nature of crampons or nails will be communicated at the latest on the occasion of the second weather report. A probability of 5% is estimated.

Given the extreme climatic and meteorological variability, the organization will publish two weather reports on the website www.s1trail.com in the “news” section with the following purposes:

Bulletin 1: 5 days before the race, to inform about the conditions of the route and the weather forecast.
Bulletin 2: 12 hours before the start with the latest updates and the result of the last survey on the route. In conjunction with the Bulletins, additions or

Variations to suggested equipment and race courses

In the event of extreme weather phenomena, landslides or events that make the route impracticable, last-minute changes will be possible. Any changes will be communicated clearly and in the shortest time possible to the participants also through the staff on the route if the race is in progress. In these cases there is no type of compensation to competitors. The suspension of the race is not foreseen in any case: the date and the geographical area are in themselves indicators of a strong possibility of bad weather, which is considered as one of the fundamental components sought by the athlete in the competition.

The race takes place in natural ecosystems. Competitors must behave respectfully to the environment, in particular avoiding littering, picking flowers and harassing the fauna. We will proceed immediately disqualifying in case of voluntary abandonment of waste along the route.

It will be verified that any GEL, Bars and wrapped consumables are marked with the competitor’s bib number. This is only in order to identify any waste abandoned along the way. During the race it will be possible to integrate food supplies at the refreshment points or at the life base, at the competitor’s discretion, after marking all the wrappers.

Each competitor, as indicated in the mandatory material, is required to have a personal container for liquids with him.

The environmental impact due to the production of waste from this event is limited thanks to actions such as, for example, the use of compostable or reusable crockery and cutlery instead of disposable ones, the dispensing of draft drinks, and the use of alternative ways of communicating and advertising the event.

To minimize the use of “disposable” materials, replacing them with other reusable materials, we can use:

• crockery and cutlery in ceramic and metal instead of plastic;

• shopping bags and cloth bags instead of plastic bags;

• bottles of water and soft drinks with the returnable vacuum system rather than buying disposable bottles;

Bags with complete change or other bags can only be left in the cloakroom at the finish area when collecting the bib or on the morning of the race

No bags are accepted on the starting line
