Roll of Honour and History of the Corsa della Bora<\/h1>\n\n\n

From 2015 to today: winners, numbers and editions of a race that changes every year.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

La Corsa della Bora was founded in 2015 and saw its first official edition in 2016, organised by ASD SentieroUNO in Trieste. It is run every year between the Italian and Slovenian Karst, with the start and finish located between Trieste city centre and PortoPiccolo (Sistiana). The 2027 edition (9-10 January 2027) is the 12th edition<\/strong>11 editions already completed, from 2016 to 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to official data 2027<\/a>, the race brings together athletes from 70 nations<\/strong>, with around 3,300 participants<\/strong> for recent editions. The event now comprises 7 races<\/strong>, from the 4 km of the S1 Borin to the 116 km of the S1 Bora Ultra \u2014 the longest distance in the 2027 edition \u2014 with fixed \u201c1 euro per km\u201d rates since 2016. It is an ITRA and UTMB Index qualifying race over multiple distances, under the aegis of CONI\/AICS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The distances and names of the races have changed almost every year: there is no single, fixed route from one edition to the next, which is why this page does not list a \u201ccourse record\u201d (see below) and why the list of winners should be read edition by edition, rather than as a continuous series over the same distance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The intermediate line: from S1 Trail 57 km to S1 TransKarst Ultra 55 km<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This distance \u2014 today the S1 TransKarst Ultra, 55 km \u2014 is the successor to the historic 57-58 km race that for years represented the intermediate challenge of the event, before its transformation into a circular route in 2026. The name registered in the timing system has changed several times over the years: the data below reports the name under which the edition is currently known, not necessarily the one communicated to the public at that historical moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The premier ultra: from the Ipertrail and So\u010da Ultra to the S1 Bora Ultra 116 km<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The event\u2019s ultra-distance race has changed its name and distance several times: S1 Ultra and Ipertrail (164\u2013169 km as the crow flies), then S1 So\u010da Ultra (164 km), S1 Anniversary Ultra (105 km) and, from 2027, S1 Bora Ultra (116 km), which is now the event\u2019s longest distance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note on the 2023 and 2024 editions: the 2023 men\u2019s winner (Petter Restorp) is confirmed by the official website; the other names for these two editions are taken from external media sources, which are cited alongside the information, and the times are not available in the race\u2019s digital archive.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The editions 2016-2019<\/strong> e 2021<\/strong> These are currently being reorganised in the archives and do not appear in this table: the 2021 edition went ahead as planned, however, with over 1,000 competitors, in the midst of the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Route record<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This page does not propose a record of the route. The course and distances change substantially almost every year: the intermediate distance goes from a linear 57-58 km to a loop of 55 km, the main ultra goes from a linear race of 164-169 km to 105 km and then to 116 km. Comparing times between different editions on different courses would be misleading data: the solid comparison remains that within the same edition, reported in the tables above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
