For whom is the 57 km Bora Trail race recommended?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The 57 km Bora Trail is recommended for those seeking an ultra without the altitude differences of summer alpine races, but who still wish to tackle rocky terrain stretches reminiscent of the Dolomite peaks.<\/strong> The route offers very fast sections suitable for running, interspersed with short scenic sections that require more technical skill. The amount of elevation gain and the length are reminiscent of pre-alpine and central Italian races, but the terrain is certainly not that of the hills. It alternates between stony ground, beaten earth and gravel. It is essential to wear trail shoes and, even in wet or damp terrain, muddy sections are limited. This race is ideal for starting the season or approaching the world of ultra in view of longer distances planned for the future. There are no exposed sections. <\/strong>There are no boring or connecting sections: the entire route is scenic, always varied and with only a few hundred metres of asphalt. We have developed complex logistics to create a unique experience in a road race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The enchantment of the 57-kilometre La Corsa della Bora begins at first light of dawn, departing from the Basovizza border.<\/strong> Here, at the dawn of winter, the runners gather, illuminated by a silver moon and a thousand flickering lights, ready to embark on an epic adventure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the first kilometres, at approximately km 5, runners venture towards the ascent of the Mount Cocusso<\/strong>. Suspended between Italy and Slovenia, the mountain reigns supreme over the landscape, a giant of stone and green, sleepy on cold winter days. At the summit, a breathtaking view unfolds, with the breeze whispering stories of two nations and the Gulf of Trieste and Koper lying placid in the distance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The route continues, after a long descent to the valley floor, up the Path of Friendship<\/strong>which is reached around km 10. This path, carved over time by the passage of shepherds and farmers, is now a symbol of unity and brotherhood. Following in their footsteps, runners enter the depths of winter, glimpsing the enchantment of past seasons and the harmony of nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The journey continues towards the San Servolo Castle<\/strong>a piece of history at around km 15. This place, shrouded in mystery and antiquity, provides a respite from the race, offering a rare glimpse into an immortal past, stretching out into the blue Gulf of Trieste and with the limestone rock at its feet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a scenic descent, La Corsa della Bora enters the beautiful Val Rosandra.<\/strong> Here, around km 20, the meeting with the Premuda Refuge offers a refreshing break. Within the walls of this mountain oasis at sea level, one feels the promise of spring, a whisper amidst the cold of winter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond the halfway point, around km 35, the runners reach Opicina and the famous Napoleonica<\/strong>. Here, Napoleon's road offers panoramic views of the blue sea and snow-capped mountains in the background, an enchanting winter picture, suspended between sky and earth, sea and mountains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We continue towards Prosecco<\/strong>around km 40. Here, among golden vineyards even in the middle of winter and breathtaking views, you can breathe in the tranquillity of winter, as if the world were waiting for a spring awakening. Did you know that Prosecco wine was born on these very slopes by the sea?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The path continues to the Vedetta di San Primo<\/strong>a magical place at around km 45. The view from the vantage point is a natural fresco of enchanting beauty, unfolding under the winter mantle. Stopping for a photo is a must!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We finally enter the Sage Trail in Aurisina<\/strong>around km 50. This path, fragrant in warm months and great to run in cold ones, leads towards the last section of the race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The end of the race is a triumph over the Costa dei Barbari<\/strong>with the last kilometres on the rocky beach. This arrival, anything but a foregone conclusion, will require all the commitment, both mental and physical, of the runners. But it is here that the true beauty of La Corsa della Bora is revealed, amidst the roar of the waves and the last breath of winter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
