Is food included in the FULL price? If not, what is the cost for breakfast and hot dinner at the huts?<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

The FULL package includes accommodation and half-board from the second to the penultimate stage (Vrhnika - Javornik - Nanos - Kras). In particular, breakfast is Mediterranean, with tea, coffee, jam and bread, while dinner includes a main course and a dessert, such as a typical soup (Jota) with sausage or a vegetarian version, and a strudel. Alternatives can be pasta, gnocchi or polenta. It is possible to order extra dishes from the menu, at your own expense. Lunch is not included. Extras at refuges cost on average 10-12 euro per course and 5-7 euro for desserts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are there aid stations along the route for food\/drinks?<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Yes, along the route there is at least one refreshment point run by the organisation, where hot tea, Coca-Cola, water, biscuits, sandwiches and dried fruit will be available. During the first two stages, the route passes by refuges and inns, where you can stop and stock up on provisions. On stages 3, 4 and 5, there are no other supply points outside the organised ones. External support outside these points is not permitted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The luggage (maximum 60 litres) will be transported between the stages: does it include the sleeping bag? In winter we have more clothes than in summer, plus spare shoes, etc. <\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Yes, the sleeping bag will have to be included in your luggage, which the organisation will transport from one stage to the next. We understand that the cold weather requires bulkier clothes, but you will have a shower and a warm place to dry your wet clothes every day. We suggest including in your luggage items such as: 5 changes of underwear and socks, 3 long-sleeved shirts, 2 long trousers, a sleeping bag, extra shoes, an extra jacket, a poncho, an extra hat, an extra pair of gloves, a microfibre towel, toiletries and a powerbank. Everything should comfortably fit into a 60 litre volume, leaving room for extra food, books, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What time does the bus from Trieste to Ljubljana leave? Is it included in the price or how much does it cost?<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

If you opt for the \"FULL\" package, bus transport is included and will depart from Bora Village. Please check the official race page for the latest timetable. The bus takes approximately 90 minutes to reach Ljubljana, so it will leave 90 minutes before the start of the race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where can I park a car near the bus station in Trieste for 5 days? Is it free? <\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Parking is available at Bora Village, in a covered area dedicated to Ipertrail participants. Parking is free of charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you expect snow along the route? (past experience?) Is the use of snow chains\/crampons recommended?<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

The course varies with each edition. In past years (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023), we have not encountered any snow on the highest points of the 2024 course. However, the possibility of finding some snow along the route cannot be excluded. In that case, we will make changes to the route. Bringing crampons with you could be a good idea; you can decide whether to put them in your rucksack before the start of the race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
