Sport and culture go hand in hand for this new initiative, which aims to combine the pleasure of outdoor activities with that of discovering and experiencing new territories and their stories!
The most inclusive walk suitable for all of the great 'La Corsa della Bora' event becomes even more exciting with a nature guide available to the Family participants to discover, while walking, the area they are walking through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new opportunity was born from the collaboration between ASD SentieroUNO and KAMEN, the Museo Diffuso delle Cave e della Pietra di Aurisina, a cultural reality promoted by the Municipality of Duino Aurisina that aims to enhance the territory through stone and what revolves around it: quarries, karst phenomena, caves, landscape.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Therefore, an ESTPLORE nature guide will accompany the 'Family' participants on one of the most scenic and at the same time simple stretches of the race, the one between Santa Croce and Aurisina, along the Salvia road.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And if in the Family, what counts is arriving, then how can one not take the opportunity of a small, panoramic diversions? Again accompanied by the guide, once near the Vedetta Weiss, the more curious can take advantage of a special 'variant' to visit the 'Karst marble' quarrying basins from above. Open for more than 2,000 years and still active today, they have supplied all the continents with precious Karst stone: the view of the large chasms and the reading of the landscape and some striking details will make the diversions unforgettable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After returning from the variant (approximately 40 minutes), the race track will resume as normal, again accompanied by the guide, to PortoPiccolo and the Bora Village. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meeting point at the Santa Croce Fishing Museum, refreshment point for the event. In the centre of Santa Croce at 11.15 a.m. to cross the historic village and head along the panoramic Strada della Salvia to the second refreshment point envisaged at the Aurisina sports field, stopping from time to time to share the history and peculiarities of the area crossed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the refreshments, the guide will continue along the race route to the junction with the Vedetta Weiss and from that point will make a diversion to the quarrying ponds: the diversions will bring participants back to the same point on the route after about 40 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
