The costiera road will be closed to traffic
the afternoon of Sunday 9 January 2022
to allow the athletes of the Corsa della Bora a triumphant arrival at the finish line in Portopiccolo.
From 12 to 19
access will be forbidden to vehicles, so it will be possible to walk along the panoramic road for an unusual walk and reach the Bora Village to see the competitors of the Ipertrail at the finish line. A goal that will be reached after a 164 km route along the most evocative paths of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region and of the Slovenian Karst, starting from Sella Nevea on Friday 7th January.
will be closed to traffic:
- The section of Regional Road 14 that goes from the junction for the Le Ginestre plant (km 139 + 800) to the Tre Noci di Duino Aurisina junction
- The NSA 56 motorway link in the section between the exit junction for the SP1 and the SR14 (for vehicles leaving the A4 motorway bound for Trieste) and, in the opposite direction, in the section between the SR14 and the exit junction for the SP1
- Sections of road in the municipalities of Trieste, San Dorligo della Valle – Dolina and Duino Aurisina will be temporarily closed for the time necessary for the athletes to cross the roadway involved in the route.
As an alternative to the Costiera Road, to reach or leave Trieste it will be possible to use the Provincial Road 1 and the Motorway Junction (RA13).
Exempted from the restrictions will be the organisation’s vehicles, emergency vehicles, police and AcegasApsAmga vehicles used to clean the road.
