Where should I sleep? Which shuttle do I take?

๐Ÿ The finish line of our races is located at PortoPiccolo. If you wish to have the comfort of sleeping right on the finish line, we recommend you stay at the Apartments of PortoPiccolo. ๐Ÿ

๐Ÿ—บ See our map to see all available accommodations. Each of the accommodations on this page is committed to offering a direct booking, without intermediary costs, guaranteeing the best price. ๐Ÿ’ฐ

๐Ÿ“ž If you need help deciding which option is best for you, do not hesitate to contact us by phone at 040 411341. We are on hand to offer advice and suggestions. We have solutions for every budget and taste, starting from 24 euro per night! ๐Ÿ’ผ

For the 9 or 13 km walk:

Don't think about parking at the start. In both Santa Croce and Prosecco there are few parking spaces. Log in to your runner profile and book the shuttle that will take you from PortoPiccolo, where you will find plenty of parking, to the Start. Remember to arrive well in advance, because the snowfalls start from the Coastal Road. This way at the end of the walk you will not have to wait for a return bus.

    For the 21, 29, 38, 57 km races:

These are inline races, starting at one point and ending at a different point, i.e. Bora Village, PortoPiccolo.

You can choose accommodation either in the departure area, in the arrival area (Bora Village, Sistiana), or in Trieste Centro.

๐ŸšŒ On the morning of the race, we provide a shuttle service from both Trieste Central Station and Bora Village (finish of all races) to the starting points. It is compulsory to book the shuttle, the cost of which is 3 euro. Reservations can only be made through your runner profile and no cash or on-the-spot payments are allowed.

In the afternoon, however, the free, reservation-free shuttles return to Trieste Central Station, running approximately every two hours until 7pm.

๐Ÿ•“ Before deciding, we recommend you consult the page of your competition to check the shuttle schedules.

๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ If you plan to reach the finish line shortly before the time limit, we suggest you choose accommodation in the finish area.

๐Ÿ… For the 9, 80, 164 km and Ipertrail races:

We recommend choosing accommodation in the finish area, close to Bora Village. The return shuttle service to Trieste only operates in the afternoon of the race day and therefore may not be available for athletes arriving during the night or in the early morning hours.

๐Ÿš— If you are travelling with friends or family, it may also be convenient to stay in Trieste, but in this case we advise you to organise your own transport from arrival to the city.

For the 164 km Ultra or Ipertrail race, if you are accompanied, it might be a good idea to stay in the starting area. Please note that there is no shuttle service for the return journey. โš ๏ธ

Tip for all runners: If you are travelling alone, are not very familiar with the area, are not used to logistics or want the simplest solution, we recommend sleeping in the finish area and taking the shuttle from the finish to the start. Alternatively, sleep in Trieste and move to the finish area on race morning by taking the shuttle from there. There is plenty of parking available. It is a 15-minute walk from the bib collection area to the shuttle start to cross the traffic-free pedestrian precinct.
