Ecomarathon: A trail, but not too much

    The Corsa della Bora was born with the 57-kilometre race: a race with mountain passages but on the seashore in the middle of winter. The great satisfaction is to be told by those who have run it: 'I did not expect such challenging terrain'. The 42-kilometre La Corsa della Bora, the S1 Ecomarathon, is exactly the opposite.
    Two races that are not only characterised by different distances, but by a completely different spirit. Two worlds with the same panorama, on the Gulf of Trieste.

      La Corsa della Bora: An epic winter adventure along the scenic paths of Slovenia and Italy. Unified start at first light from the border in Basovizza. This 57 km race crosses majestic mountains, ancient castles, enchanting valleys and rocky beaches, offering breathtaking views of the Gulf of Trieste. Each kilometre tells a story of unity, beauty and endurance. Take part in this unique challenge and be enchanted by the majesty of winter along La Corsa della Bora, an unforgettable experience that will take you through breathtaking landscapes and leave you with lasting memories.

      La Corsa della Bora 2024: A Journey through Taste and Sustainability

        The delicacies of yesteryear will return: hand-sliced ham 🍖, smoked salmon 🍣, homemade bread 🍞, Val Rosandra olive oil 🫒 and craft beer 🍺. These delicacies will be complemented by cakes and lasagne. Cheese 🧀, a fixed element in recent editions, will be scaled down, but we will offer such a variety of food that each refreshment point will be unique from the others. And to add a touch of anticipation to your culinary journey, we will be publishing a mini-guide 📖 in which you can find out in advance what awaits you refreshment by refreshment.

          Registration is open at the same price as years ago: μ € 1 x 1 km. . Please note that La Corsa della Bora is an independent professional but non-commercial event, and relies largely on the work of volunteers and the support of sponsors.

            Hiking along the marked Soča Ultra and Walk of Peace trails

              Between 6 and 8 January 2023, La Corsa della Bora will take place in the Karst and Goriška region. On the Slovenian side, the route of the race will mostly follow the Walk of Peace from the Alps to the Adriatic, so on 7 January there will also be two sections for individual hikes and two free guided tours.

              Pick up your free crampons at La Corsa della Bora

                Pay the registration fee for any Alpe Adria Snow, Trail or Ultra race by 5 January and you will be able to collect your free crampons as a race pack on 6-7-8 January. If you don't collect your crampons at the Corsa della Bora they will only be available for those registered for the Alpe Adria Snow Trail.

                  21 November is the deadline to register with a personalised bib with your name, country and chosen race. We will then send the bibs to the printers and if you register or pre-register after this date, you will receive a beautiful bib... but without your name!
